Cleverly accommodating up to 4/5 people and with cooking facilities, you’ll feel right at home. This eco–friendly holiday is a great way to spend quality time as a family, to escape as a couple or to enjoy a fun experience with friends. Clip clopping along, you will be surrounded by the peaceful and charming green Irish countryside which features wild green valleys, clear rivers, waterfalls, woodlands, beaches and the Irish Sea. This is a holiday where you and your horse decide the pace. You may choose to have a very quiet, leisurely, intimate break, or you may prefer to fill your time with activities like fishing, walking and cycling. Horse caravan journeys average 12 Km daily. The Clissmann family will highlight the attractions of the area and help you choose an itinerary from a selection of overnight stops. At each location local farmers, B&Bs and pub owners welcome the caravans to park and graze the horses at night for a fee. They offer showers, toilets and drinking water and lots of local knowledge! You will be provided with a marked map and top tips for the locations you visit each day. Before setting out, you receive a full ‘horse instruction’ which consists of your learning and practicing how to catch, look after, harness and drive your horse. Of course if you need any assistance along the way, we are only a call away! The horses, Irish Cobs, are famous for being strong, quiet and docile. The Clissmann team take great care to match you with a horse especially selected for your ability. Over 70% of visitors have no horse experience at all. Your horse caravan is well equipped to give you all the necessary comforts for your trip and yet light enough for one horse to pull. The living space converts into two double beds or a bunk bed with all bedding and bed linen included. There is a small kitchen area with 2 ring gas cooker with grill and a sink. Cooking pots and utensils and a full set of crockery and cutlery are included. Gas lighting is provided by internal gas lights at the front and rear of the caravan. Riding horses can also be hired in combination with taking a caravan. This allows you to stretch out the day with an evening trek or an early morning ride on the beach. For riders aged over twelve.
