Doolin Ferry

Inis Oirr, Inis Meain & Inis Mor make up the three Aran Islands. The shortest sea crossing is from the port of Doolin. The islands are connected to Co Clare geographically in that the limestone paving seen in the Burren continues through all three islands. The Aran Islands are in the County of Galway so don't be confused! You know the famous Aran Sweater (cable knit) comes from here as do many famous 'Gaelic' playwrites, poets and authors. The islands are one of the deep seats of Irish culture and where you will hear our Irish language spoken by the locals. Each island has its distinct identity and unique offerings. There are multiple daily departures (March - November) to all three Aran Islands of Inis Oirr, Inis Meain and Inis Mor, also hourly cruises along the iconic Cliffs of Moher. The Cliffs of Moher Cruise is a stunning one hour journey along the 6km of coastline from Doolin Pier. The Cliffs rise to a height of over 214 meters providing dramatic views by sea. The Great Sea Stack (Branaunmore) plays host to thousands of rare birds of which you can see up close. Between April and mid July you will be awe struck by the sea birds who arrive to breed on the cliffs! It's noisy. Watch out for the puffins. Don’t forget your cameras!
