Sugarloaf Adventures

Named after the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain in Enniskerry, County Wicklow, Sugarloaf Adventures was set up by Fran Nicholson and his partner Orla McCarron to share their passion for the great outdoors. Sugarloaf Adventures are passionate about the great outdoors, food and foraging which inspired them to set up their unique hiking company. Sugarloaf Adventures specialise in hiking in the Garden of Ireland, County Wicklow and beyond and provide a variety of hikes including Day Hikes, Gourmet Hikes, Foraging Hikes and 1, 3, and 5 days hikes along the famous Wicklow Way. Day hikes – guided 3-4 hour hike in the Wicklow Mountains. The exact trails are decided on the day, depending on the weather and fitness of the group. The hike includes a break for a picnic lunch at the midway point (often the highlight for some walkers!) Sugarloaf Adventures can provide a packed lunch if requested on booking. Gourmet Hikes are guided Day Hikes with an extra special picnic at the halfway point comprising of delicious mouth-watering edibles prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Foraging Hikes are guided hikes where the hiker can discover wild treasures in the field, hedgerows and by the sea shore. All hikers are also provided with a recipe to bring home. Wicklow Way: 1, 3 and 5 day hiking packages along the Wicklow Way with a choice of guided of self-guided packages. All Sugarloaf Adventures day hikes can be tailored to suit individual or group interest and all levels of fitness. Children over the age of 6 also welcomed by Sugarloaf Adventures provided they are accompanied by parents or guardians. Pick up and drop offs can be arranged by Sugarloaf Adventures to Bray Dart Station and Cherrywood Luas stop. Booking can be made via info@sugarloafadventures.ie. or by phone.
