Lough Bawn House is a beautiful Georgian house set in extensive gardens with parkland rolling down to the shores of Lough Bane. Having been in the same family since it was built in 1800’s the house has been renovated and restored in the last two years to provide 2 large double en-suite rooms as well as a twin and double, with access to a large family bathroom, featuring a roll top bath and powerful rain shower. Throughout the seasons Lough Bawn House provides a serene and tranquil setting in which to unwind and relax. The host, Verity, extends a warm welcome to all, more often than not lighting a log fire in the Drawing Room for the comfort and enjoyment of her guests. Free WiFi is available for all guests. Plentiful hot water, luxurious bath towels and complimentary toiletries make staying at Lough Bawn House an unforgettable experience. The extensive and varied breakfast prove testament to Verity’s catering background. Dinner can be provided, with advanced notice, for a minimum of 2 guests, with all the Ingredients being sourced locally wherever possible. There are numerous activities locally, visiting wonderful heritage sites, trout fishing on Lough Bane, water sports on nearby Lough Lane, horseracing and golf, or complete relaxation watching the resident peacocks display their plumage while taking a stroll through the gardens and then sitting watching the sun setting over Lough Bane. Lough Bawn House is only an hour’s drive from Dublin Airport, making it an easy journey for international travellers arriving or leaving Ireland and those looking to escape city life. Whether you are staying for business or pleasure you can be guaranteed a peaceful tranquil stay at Lough Bawn House.
