Rock Farm Slane

Rock Farm Slane is a gold-certified Ecotourism Ireland Glamping, Eco-lodge and outdoor activity centre situated on the slopes of an organic farm on the Slane Castle estate. The Glamping area, which has 5 yurts and 2 shepherd's huts overlooks Slane Castle and has direct access to the River Boyne and the Boyne Ramparts Walk which stretches for miles West to Navan and 4km towards Slane Bridge and Drogheda The farm hosts couples, families, solo adventure seekers and large groups at the Glamping or in the Lime House (Strawbale Eco-lodge), which overlooks the Hill of Slane and the woods and fields leading to the historic village of Slane 3km away, where they can experience a stay in luxury yurts, cosy shepherd huts and in beautiful naturally built strawbale buildings. When away from home you still need your creature comforts. The onsite self catering facilities provide everything you need to make it a home from home experience and catering services are offered for larger groups. Central to the Glamping area you will find Le Shack containing the self catering kitchen facilities where you can prepare food, eat and relax in a homely space. This fully serviced kitchen has a large fridge, gas hob and wash up area. Le Shack also contains shower and toilet facilities. The Lime House has 6 en-suite bedrooms and a large kitchen, communal dining space and lounge with additional showers and toilets for larger parties or visitors to the farm. We organise fun-packed holidays with electric bike hire and tours, walking tours, recreational tree climbing, swimming in our natural swimming pool and kayaking. The Glamping and Lime House with additional Hay Barn space is also the perfect place to celebrate your wedding, birthday or corporate event.. We are only an hour from Dublin city centre, just off the N2 (Dublin-Derry Road) at the historic Slane Bridge. Head up the farm track through fields of whiskey-bound barley to the strawbale reception lodge and onto the Glamping or Lime House. Savour that sense of escape and tranquillity by retreating to a hidden part of Slane Castle estate.
