These islands offer breathtaking scenery, church ruins from the early Christian times, medieval castles, cliffs, prehistoric stone forts and wonderful sandy beaches. The islands are also a sanctuary from the rush of modern day life with Irish culture, music and traditions as important today as they were in bygone days. Galway City is 20km away. Strolling through the cobbled streets is the perfect way to soak up the atmosphere of this medieval city, known for its arts, music, theatre, shopping and nightlife.
