Ballyhoura Luxury Hostel is located in the small picturesque mountain town of Kilfinane, County Limerick, suitable for families, large and small groups and private parties, with many outdoor activities nearby. Ballyhoura Luxury Hostel is located in the small picturesque mountain town of Kilfinane, Co. Limerick. Nestled in the Ballyhoura Mountains this luxury hostel is an oasis of comfort, designed and built for the discerning adult traveller who seeks comfort and luxury and with the outdoor pursuit’s enthusiasts in mind. It is also suitable for families, large and small groups, private parties, sports teams and youth groups. With many outdoor activities nearby including hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, air rifle shooting, archery, geocaching, kayaking, zip lining and many more. This cosy, family run hostel will give you the break you need. Finished to a very high standard, Ballyhoura Luxury Hostel has 41 beds spread over seven rooms. It comprises of a spacious 14 bed dorm, two family rooms sleeping 4 and 5 respectively, a four bed dorm, two by five bed dorms and a six bed dorm. Each room is spacious with solid hardwood beds with hotel grade mattresses, high quality duvets and pillows dressed in Egyptian cotton linen. There are numerous individual hot high powered showers. There is a fully equipped self-catering kitchen and a large dining room with big solid hardwood tables and benches. The sitting room is large and cosy with big comfy couches by an open fire, perfect for relaxing in, after a day in the mountains. A large off street car park is to the rear of the building as well as the bike lock up, bike wash area and purpose built drying room. The hostel is situated in the town of Kilfinane where there are numerous pubs with friendly locals, a restaurant and shops on the doorstep. Nestled in the Ballyhoura Mountains and being the highest town land in Limerick, there are many beautiful trails to walk or hike taking in the breath-taking scenic views of the countryside. The largest mountain bike trails in Ireland are just three miles away and have over 100km of undulating trails. Horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, air rifle shooting, archery, the Ballyhass Lakes Activity Centre are all close by. The Mitchelstown caves, Bunratty Castle and The Rock of Cashel are all within a 30 to 40 minutes’ drive. As the hostel is so centrally located it makes an ideal base from which to explore Munster and South Leinster with both Cork and Limerick cities just 40 minutes away. Cork and Shannon airport are all approximately 50 minutes away. Perfect for road bikers also, with quiet country roads and situated on the inland Malin to Mizen head route.
