Our mission
Tourism Ireland was established under the framework of the Belfast Agreement of Good Friday, April 1998 to increase tourism to the island of Ireland as a whole.
We employ 160 people in key source markets, such as Great Britain, USA and Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Australia. We also have offices on the island of Ireland, in Coleraine and Dublin – and have now extended our reach to include emerging tourist markets, such as South Africa, New Zealand, China, India, Asia and the Middle East – delivering targeted marketing programmes and work in close cooperation with travel trade, online operators, media, carriers and Irish industry partners.
Who we’ve worked with
Tourism Ireland has worked closely with its sister agencies on the island of Ireland, particularly in the development of this website. Fáilte Ireland, the national tourism development authority of the Republic of Ireland, and Tourism Northern Ireland have both provided this site with database records and product information.
