Visiting the island of Ireland and Brexit
This year, travelling to the island of Ireland is as easy as ever, whether you're coming from Great Britain, the EU or around the world
Brexit and travel
If you’re wondering how Brexit may affect travel to the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland this year, don't be. There will be no changes in 2020. That means no changes to mobile roaming; car insurance for hired or owned cars; health insurance; visa and passport requirements; or crossing the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland while you’re here. While the UK left the EU on January 31st, the transition period runs until the end of the year so there will be no changes until at least 2021. For any changes that come after that, we’ll be here to help.
Our warm welcome is waiting
Wherever you’re travelling from, getting to the island of Ireland is as simple as hopping on a plane or ferry. Once you arrive, you can visit any part of the island by car, train or bus. So come and feel the warmth of an island famed for great hospitality and friendly locals, where the natural beauty of the landscape will take your breath away and adventure awaits around every corner. Wherever you visit on the island of Ireland, your welcome will be as warm as ever!
