See what Ireland has in store for you
At The Old Church Visitor Centre in Burt, onsite at An Grianán Hotel, Inishowen, Co.Donegal. You can enjoy a series of indoor and outdoor exhibits which are fun for all the family, whether you like to read up on all the factual information, or simply enjoy the more interactive exhibits present. The centre is mainly focused around local legends in Irish folklore, i.e the mythical supernaturally gifted Tuatha De Danann race, who are said to represent the main deities of pre-Christian Ireland. Namely the kings, queens, heroes abd warriors in Irish legend. The centre also offers detailed exhibits from the local area due to the wealth of heritage and culture it possesses. Particular emphasis is given to the stunning Grianán of Aileach Fort which stands proud at the top of Grianan Hill, directly behind the hotel and visitor centre. A truly recognised iconic attraction in Inishowen and all of Ireland. A ‘must see’ during your time at the centre. So, if you would like to see what’s cooking in Dagda’s kitchen and learn of the fierce battles of Moytura, touch and feel the magical weapons of the gods and warriors first hand, test whether you have what it takes to be king? Then, get yourself down to the Old Church Visitor Centre this year. p.s: King Nuada requests your presence and you do not say no to a king!
