See what Ireland has in store for you
In Kinsale, County Cork, master crystal cutter Gerry Daly set up his crystal venture. Gerry discovered that cutting at a higher angle than other crystal craftsmen resulted in a magnificent silvery sparkle. The finished piece had a very crisp, sharp feel to it. When placed next to the standard production range, Gerry's deep cut piece completely out sparkled them. The Kinsale Crystal product range includes bowls, vases, stemware, tumblers, bowls, lamps, decanters, chandeliers and much more. Many of these products come on handmade mahogany bases. The shop also offers a personalised hand engraving service where pieces can be customised with dates, names or family crests. This shop is in Kinsale, a picturesque, popular and fashionable town in the south west of Ireland. Its safe harbour and mild climate make Kinsale the ideal sport for yachting, sea angling, dolphin and whale watching trips. It is also famous for its gourmet restaurants, art galleries and golf courses. The Kinsale Crystal business is now run by Gerry's son, Ronan, who is happy to demonstrate how he learned the craft from his father.
