Westport Town Hall Theatre

Westport Town Hall Theatre is situated right on Westport's Octagon, one of the most central points of the town, and is within walking distance of all local amenities. This heritage building underwent a significant redevelopment that has delivered a fully functional, 225 seater, modern equipped theatre with both fixed and retractable seating, flat floor level stage complete with pit lift, flying and rigging system. It has extensive sound and lighting, fully serviced dressing rooms, as well as meeting rooms, bar, extensive exhibition space and a reception area. Its mission is to provide a unique platform for all spheres of the arts and community events for locals and visitors to the town. Westport Town Hall Theatre provides space for key festivals such as the Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival, Mayo Day Festivities, The Festival of Chamber Music and Westport Arts Festival to name but a few. Westport Town Hall Theatre continues to offer a multi layered and varied programme of events and experiences on a year round basis and ensures that both locals and visitors are entertained in an artistic, culturally focused, friendly and amenable atmosphere in the heart of Westport. Westport Town Hall Theatre has been appointed by Fáilte Ireland as a Visitor Information Point. Tourist Information is available year round during box office opening hours.
