The 4 star Hillgrove Hotel and Spa overlooking Monaghan Town from a fine hillside location and with spacious public areas, is a leading hotel in the area for business and leisure. In addition to this, five hours of free kids clubs is offered every day during school holidays in the newly refurbished Explorers Kids Club. Families are made very welcome here and, unusually, special needs are well catered for, including at the leisure centre, which has a special needs changing room. With a playroom, Cinema Room, outdoor playground, and also a Kids Club during school holidays, the Hillgrove is a very appealing and attractively priced destination for family breaks. A lot of the family rooms have bunk beds. The Bistro offers excellent cuisine and extensive wines. This contemporary restaurant has a large terrace looking out over the town and in addition, PK’s Bar serves a menu all day. The Hillgrove Hotel & Spa were recognised as Highly Commended Family Hotel of the Year 2020: Ireland Guide - Georgina Campbell Hotel of the Year Awards and have also won numerous Family Friendly Hotel Awards.
