See what Ireland has in store for you
During your stay, relax in one of our 48 beautifully appointed bedrooms or suites with wonderful views, wake up to the sound of the river meandering past your window before enjoying breakfast in the elegant Owenmore Restaurant. Choose from a comfy classic room in the original house, to the larger superior and luxury rooms with glorious views across the river, garden, and woodlands. These generous hotel rooms are decorated to a superb standard. There are approximately 16 kilometres of trails throughout the estate, bringing you through some native woodlands, along lakeshores and riverside walks. Suitable for all. Explore the estate with a guided walk or join our expert guides on a hike through the Maumturk Mountains. Try a hand at fly fishing or hone your target skills in the Shooting Masterclass. Our guides are available to assist in every activity, on the sea, the mountains, rivers, and trails or in the library exploring the rich culture of this spectacular region. A visit to the Owenmore Restaurant is a treat for all the senses. Our team of chefs extract the very best in flavour and texture from the abundance of wonderful produce the region has to offer. Following an elegant refurbishment guests can feast their eyes on the beautiful collection of artworks that sits comfortably here. The Fisherman’s Pub and Ranji Room at Ballynahinch Castle represent all that is great about Connemara. Celebrating authentic local produce and producers, the menu showcases the larder of Connemara in a relaxed and friendly environment. Always a favourite with both locals and visitors. Local attractions in Connemara on the drive include Killary Harbour, Inish Bofin, Sky Road and Roundstone village.
