Refresh the connection at Ulster Folk Museum, a place where traditions and heritage skills are preserved and celebrated to help connect our past to our present. There are many ways to reconnect with heritage and the environment at the museum through the themes of making, growing and living. From seasonal events and hand-picked programmes, to discovering the folk collection and stories from rural Ulster past. Experience daily craft demonstrations from blacksmithing to basket weaving* and wander the winding country lanes taking in the views and wildlife. To make the most of you visit we recommend you take 2 to 3 hours to explore all the Ulster Folk Museum has to offer. Visit the Ulster Folk Museum website to learn more about all upcoming events. *Please note, the museum has a minimum of three demonstrations happening daily. There are a limited number of mobility scooters and wheelchairs available for any visitors with additional accessibility needs. These can be booked in advance by emailing info@nationalmuseumsni.org. Food & Drink Why not treat yourself to lunch in the on-site café, Ballycultra Tearooms, serving a range of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks. There are also picnic tables located around the site. Gift Shop The main gift shop includes a range of items inspired by our museum. Accessibility: We have a limited number of mobility scooters and wheelchairs available for any visitors with additional accessibility needs.
