Opened in 1945, Cork Public Museum, Cork City, occupies a two story Georgian style house and modern extension, with a commanding, central position in Fitzgerald Park, about a 15 minute walk from the city centre. The museum has a collection of more than 50,000 objects that reflect the diverse and rich material heritage of the city.
