See what Ireland has in store for you
Discover the magic of brewing by visiting Ireland's oldest independent brewery, in the 19th century courtyard of Hilden House, near Lisburn. Enjoy the best of award winning cuisine prepared using the finest local ingredients, with the bar open for lunch Tuesday to Sunday and Evening Meals Tuesday to Saturday. Hilden Brewery is the former home of Helen Barbour, a daughter of Milne Barbour, married Thomas Andrews who designed the Titanic. They celebrated their wedding at Hilden house. Titanic Quarter Beer - The first of the Belfast Quarter Beers was specially commissioned to mark the regeneration of the Queen's Island site. This is a pale ale brewed with the beers in mind that were once shipped from the UK around the world. Clean and refreshing with a good level of bitterness. The Titianic Quarter of Belfast encompasses the once mighty industrial area of the Harland and Wolff Ship Yard, builder of the ill-fated RMS Titanic. Today the area is at the beginning of a renaissance which will put the quarter back as a focal point, not only of Belfast's commercial but also social and cultural world. All Hilden Brewery beers are available at the Tap Room restaurant at the Brewery, Molly's Yard, Belfast, The John Hewitt, Belfast the Dirty Duck, Holywood, The Duke of York, Belfast, Hillside in Hillsborough and all Northern Irish Wetherspoon's bars and lots of free-houses all over England and Scotland.
