40 acres of wooded gardens surround Dromquinna Manor and the shores of Kenmare Bay. The Manor, dating back form 1880 has been restored to its former glory to cater for events and special occasions for up to 170 people. The Manor’s Oak Room is one of only 6 rooms in the world panelled with Chequers Oak. The elegant interiors, by Gwen Teape, perfectly compliment the wooded surroundings and views over Kenmare Bay. A party atmosphere is enhanced by using square tables in the Dining Room for 8 people that ensures conversation and laughter. Party table centre sharing platters are features of our menus and provide a talking point as well as great food most of which comes from within a 15 mile radius. Dancing in The Oak Room and tinkling piano in The Cocktail Lounge entertain until the small hours sustained by a midnight BBQ. A true party and a million miles from a traditional wedding. The estate also offers a waterfront Boathouse Bistro catering for up to 70 people. A Nantucket style interior reflecting a sea inspired menu with Mediterranean influences is just heavenly. Seasonally open, long summer days leave lasting memories. There is nothing like luxury camping at Dromquinna Manor. Proper tents, specially made for Dromquinna by tent experts in India, are furnished with rustic furniture, real beds with duck down duvets, goose down pillows, cotton linen and towels. Private decks with sea views is the perfect place for a relaxing afternoon reading or simply sit back, chill and gaze as a Crane or Cormorant glides by on its daily survey of Dromquinna. Camping was never like this. During the season Seafari calls daily and guests can join the eco cruise of Kenmare Bay. Local amenities and attractions include horse riding, water sports, shop, bar, bistro, children’s play area, Kenmare town and the Ring of Kerry.
