See what Ireland has in store for you
Castle Durrow Country House Hotel is located on the N8 Dublin to Cork Road, in the midlands of Ireland, adjoining the quaint village of Durrow, County Laois. The house was built by William Flower (later to become Viscount Ashbrook) in 1716 as his family home in the Midlands of Ireland, its pre-Palladian design and formal gardens were the height of fashion in their day. Castle Durrow Country House Hotel has been completely restored and decorated by Peter and Shelly Stokes in a comfortable, relaxing and contemporary style with modern way of life and fashion in mind without overlooking its past. The informal mood makes guest enjoyment of the Irish Countryside a delight. Guest have a choice of deluxe rooms, family rooms, castle yard rooms and oriental style rooms. The pleasure gardens, river walks and adjoining woodland are ideal for working up an appetite and thirst, which shall be well satisfied by the award winning chef Graham Gallagher. Fishing, clay pigeon shooting, archery, tennis, forest walks and golf are all available nearby. Kilkenny Medieval city with its historic castle and buildings and plentiful shopping is only 30 minutes away.
