See what Ireland has in store for you
Operating from the historic town of Killala, in one of the most beautiful, undiscovered parts of Ireland, Wild Atlantic Cultural Tours run relaxed heritage day tours and holiday packages. These tours are interactive, participative cultural experiences, offering an insight into Irish traditional culture and heritage. As well as historical and archaeological tours in north Mayo, Wild Atlantic Cultural Tours offer traditional workshops e.g. blacksmithing, wild food foraging and feasting, angling, culinary and music events in traditional Irish homes, along with environmental activities such as bird watching and bat detecting. Tours and events are available as day tours or part of a holiday package. The main priority is that you enjoy your tour or holiday. Wild Atlantic Cultural Tours are happy to be flexible and tailor your holiday to suit you and your particular interests. Individuals, families and groups of up to eight are catered for, ensuring complete attention for the duration of your stay. Denis Quinn, who is the main guide, is a Fáilte Ireland approved Marine & Countryside Guide (Local Guiding). He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Heritage Studies, and is happiest outdoors sharing his knowledge and love of the stunning north Mayo coastline. In order to make your holiday as sustainable and stress free as possible, Wild Atlantic Cultural Tours can collect you from the train, bus or plane. Transport is provided on all tours. Come and holiday with Wild Atlantic Cultural Tours, learn new skills, connect with nature and enjoy the craic as you experience the real Ireland and its warm, welcoming people.
