See what Ireland has in store for you
Eloquently described as an oasis of peace and tranquillity, Delta Sensory Gardens consists of a series of interconnecting gardens of a multi-sensory nature, covering 1 hectare on the outskirts of Carlow Town. Visitors can delight in a mix of formal and informal landscapes. The gardens offer something for every season, from thousands of daffodils and tulips in spring, to the abundant double flowering gorse in summer, and the rustic colour of trees and beech hedges in autumn and winter. The gardens also boast amazing water features, such as splashing fountains, cascading waterfalls and the kugal, which is 1 tonne sphere of pink marble floating on a cushion of water. Additionally, The Delta Centre runs a very busy garden centre with a wide range of shrubs and plants, hanging baskets, window boxes and garden accessories like ornaments and fountains. Whatever the season, guests can find suitable plants and expert horticultural advice is always on hand from the highly-qualified and friendly staff. The gardens are suitable for access by wheelchair. Facilities: Café Thyme is on site, with plants for sale in the garden centre.
