Valentia Island Lighthouse

Visit Valentia Island Lighthouse at Cromwell Point and tour one of the great lighthouses of Ireland. Come and explore this beautiful place, once the Cromwell Fleetwood Fort. Built in the 16th century, the lighthouse was one of two on Valentia Island around this time. Right by the turbulent Atlantic Ocean, the building was originally staffed by a single keeper with his family on site.
