Killary Sheep Farm

Killary sheep farm is a traditional working Connemara mountain farm open to visitors with approximately 200 ewes and lambs roaming freely in the mountains overlooking Killary Fjord. At the farm visitors can view skilled sheepdog demonstrations, sheep shearing demonstration using hand shears, turf cutting demonstration using a slean (turf spade), walking trails available and bottle feeding orphan lambs. On arrival visitors are outfitted with outdoor footwear and rainwear supplied by Killary Sheep Farm. Open from the 1st of April to 30th of September. Demonstrations are held at these times 11am, again at 1pm and again at 3pm Tuesday to Sunday please arrive 15 minutes before each start time. Killary Sheep Farm is located on the southern shores of Killary Fjord 6km from the village of Leenane, Co. Galway on the N59.
