Learn to kitesurf with Hooked Kitesurfing, based at their centre on Duncannon beach in County Wexford. Qualified IKO instructors will help you experience the thrill of flying a large controllable kite, then learn to use it to propel yourself across the water and into the air if you choose. The majority of kitesurfing lessons take place in the shallow flat water of Duncannon beach, County Wexford overlooking the Hook Head peninsula. Constant winds combined with flat shallow water make this an ideal beach to learn on. All equipment is supplied for your kitesurfing lesson. Also on offer are childrens power kite lessons. Lasting one hour in duration, using small power kites called foil or ram air. This is a great way to learn kite controlling skills before taking up kitesurfing, mountain boarding or kite buggying. Suitable for ages eight and above. Stand up paddle boarding lessons are now on offer also. Hooked Kitesurfing offer a range of courses year round to suit your budget and ability and can also cater for large groups with discounts offered. Gift vouchers are available. Please contact the team for more details. There are many great things to do in Wexford on wind less days. Duncannon Fort built in 1588 has day tours available. Dunbrody House Hotel Spa and Cookery School is 2km from Duncannon. South East Charters provide whale watching day trips from Duncannon to Hook Head.
