Located deep in Ireland’s horse country, the Tipperary Mountain Trekking Centre is surrounded by the beautiful mountain countryside of north Tipperary, a county long known for its association with horses and for producing many world champions. In an area steeped in history, a trek can find riders stumbling across ancient ring and hill forts, standing stones and wonderful ruins. There is access to hundreds of acres of mountain pastures. Guided treks can be anything from an hour to a day long. Tipperary Mountain Trekking Centre are happy to take riders of all levels on their treks, from beginners to seasoned riders and while they take groups of up to ten on a trek or a hack, for customer’s comfort they don’t mix groups and are just as happy to take riders out on their own or with a couple of friends. Tipperary Mountain Trekking Centre also offers lessons for children and adults, residential riding holidays, pony camps and courses on horsemanship. Riding holidays can be full board. Guest accommodation comprises their second floor. With panoramic views there is a child friendly landing with sofa, books and a rocking horse, a spacious en suite bedroom, and, should guests require it, a further bedroom with windows set in to three of its four walls where guests can see everything that is going on for miles. One to eight people can sleep comfortably. Guests can also relax in their family sitting room, which contains a library of books as well as a grand piano and satellite TV, and where meals are served if guests require them. They provide complimentary tea, herb tea and coffee (including de-caff) for guests. They can also provide towels and hairdryers on request.
