See what Ireland has in store for you
The four-star Castle Grove Country House is a spectacular private estate in the North West of Ireland. An oasis of privacy and tranquillity, the four-star hotel overlooks Lough Swilly in Ballymaleel, which is just a short drive from Letterkenny, County Donegal. The accommodation in the Georgian house includes State Rooms, which are spacious and elegantly decorated. Executive Suites, meanwhile, provide luxurious four-poster beds and additional space. There are also wheelchair-friendly rooms available on the ground floor. Castle Grove is renowned for its cuisine. It boasts one AA Rosette and has been recommended by Michelin. The restaurant provides the very best of Irish food, including fish fresh from the sea, tender juicy roasts and vegetables from the hotel garden, all cooked with care and accompanied by an extensive wine list. During a relaxing stay at Castle Grove, guests can enjoy strolling through the estate’s gardens, which were designed by Lancelot “Capability” Brown. They will also find a range of activities available just beyond the walls of the estate, such as golf, pony trekking, angling, tennis, hill walking, rock climbing and horse-riding. Additionally, the Letterkenny area offers many interesting sites to discover. Visitors won’t want to miss Donegal County Museum, Tullyarvan Mill, the Vintage Car and Carriage Museum, or the impressive Glenveagh National Park.
