Onsite facilities include a toilet and shower block (Including disabled toilet and shower facilities), Campers' Kitchen, Recreation Room, Laundry Room. Free WiFi is also available. Well behaved dogs, on a lead, are very welcome. A great base for touring the midlands, taking daily cruises on the River Shannon, visiting the famous monastic site in Clonmacnoise, taking scenic walks along the lake or just enjoying the peace and tranquility of its beautiful setting. It is also a perfect location from which to take day trips to almost any part of the country. Lough Ree (East) Caravan & Camping is 2 miles from the beautiful village of Glasson - The Village of the Roses - with its wonderful pubs, restaurants and scenic golf course and hotel. It's a 2 minute walk to the local Pub, which hosts traditional music sessions on Wednesday nights. Lough Ree (East) Caravan & Camping also have the following activities nearby: Golf, Horse Riding, Sailing, Athlone Castle, Pet Farm, Bay Sports. Clonmacnoise Monastic Site is 22km away, Boora Bog is 36km away and Birr Castle is 44km away. Debit and credit cards are accepted.
