The Kildare House Hotel was purchased by Kelly Moran in 2019. A local lady, from Kildare Town, Kelly had been leasing the property for six years before she purchased it in 2019. The building itself was established in 1777 as an infirmary on a site that was acquired by the Duke of Leinster. Once the sale was completed, Kelly immediately set to work bringing the 18th century building back to life. It is now once again the beating heart of Kildare Town and is popular with locals and visitors alike. One of the highlights of staying at this family-run hotel is the culinary experience. The on-site restaurants serves delectable dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, ensuring a fresh and authentic dining experience. From hearty breakfast spreads to mouthwatering dinner options, each meal is a celebration of the region's flavors and culinary traditions. While the hotel's proximity to Kildare Village makes it an ideal choice for shopping enthusiasts, there's more to explore in the surrounding area. Take a leisurely stroll to Irish National Stud and Gardens only nine minutes walk, discover historical landmarks like Saint Brigid’s Cathedral and Round Tower, the tower is the highest accessible round tower in Ireland. Several world-class golf courses are just a short drive away, offering a chance to tee off amidst stunning landscapes.
